Our Mission

Train outstanding family medicine physicians in a federally designated Teaching Health Center; Prepare broadly trained family medicine physicians and encourage them to work in Idaho’s underserved and rural areas; and Serve the low income, uninsured, disabled, and other vulnerable populations of Ada County in a Patient Centered Medical Home.

The Family Medicine Health Center (FMHC) works in partnership with the Federal Government’s Public Health Service to provide care to our patients. Under this status the FMHC has liability protections granted for health and health-related medical malpractice claims for our health center and employees.
