Joining the medical team at FMRI provides an excellent opportunity to serve the local uninsured, underserved and refugee populations of the Treasure Valley which creates the unique opportunity to embark on a “medical mission without the need for a passport”. Our progressive organization operates six Federally Qualified Health Centers in Ada County, Idaho and we are growing! FMRI is one of the 11 original teaching health centers, combining a family medicine residency program and a community health center. Each of our clinic locations have received Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home accreditation with family medicine residents training at four of our locations. FMRI operations on the team-based model of care, enabling a supportive and rewarding culture. In addition to excellent in-patient and out-patient, primary care, we offer our patients a full suite of mental and behavioral health services. Family Medicine Faculty

We are always interested in speaking with board certified family physicians who carry a passion for quality care, who have an interest in supporting our communities and who have the desire to teach residents in our expanding Teaching Health Center environment. Family Medicine Faculty (Rural)

We are also recruiting for a board certified family physician to bolster our rural faculty department. Family Medicine Physician and Clinic Director for Small CHC Location

The Family Medicine Residency of Idaho (FMRI) is currently recruiting a family medicine physician (MD/DO) to be a provider and Clinic Director at our community health center in Kuna, Idaho. This position provides direct patient care while collaborating with the Clinic Lead RN and Lead Receptionist to facilitate efficient clinical operations. This position also acts as the interface with our broader organization, working closely with the Chief Medical Officer. This position is full-time and the work week consists of 28 hours of direct patient care, including one evening clinic, as well as admin time and potential attending time. Qualifications:

  • Interest in working with underserved and/or uninsured populations;
  • Ability to speak a Spanish preferred but not essential;
  • Desire to do prenatal care and/or obstetric deliveries welcome but not essential;
  • Desire to work independently in a small clinic;
  • Option available to precept family medicine residents in one of our other outpatient clinics;
  • Eligible to apply for NHSC loan repayment;
  • FMRI is a tobacco-free workplace. Qualified applicants must complete a tobacco/nicotine free attestation prior to employment;
  • FMRI medical team members must have the ability to be fully credentialed, licensed and privileged;
  • Unrestricted / unconditional license to practice under the laws of the State of Idaho;
  • Possess an unrestricted Board of Pharmacy registration, unrestricted DEA registration and all necessary federal narcotics and controlled substance numbers and licenses;
  • Maintain eligibility to participate in Medicare, Medicaid and all other third party payment programs that contract with FMRI.

Medical Reception

The Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, Inc. is currently accepting applications for Medical Reception Staff, specifically for the role of Check-in and Check-Out at our Fort St. Clinic. Our Reception staff members staff are directly accountable to the Director of Revenue Cycle while working closely with our integrated team.  This position will be located at our Fort St. and their important role is to support the FMRI Reception department in the successful assistance of patients in completing the necessary paperwork, collecting payments etc. while maximizing customer / patient satisfaction and clinical operations.
