Activities: Greet Spanish speaking patients as they arrive in the clinic, help them check in and help with paperwork, help them to go back with the nurse to get vital signs, etc; assist after the appointment making sure that they understand labs ordered, followup appointments, billing issues, etc; if they are maternity patients, explain the Centering Program and OBO program and help them with paperwork if necessary. If time allows, do outreach in to the hispanic community around the Centering Pregnancy program, as well as promote FMRI.
Requirements: Bilingual, Spanish and English; preferred: bicultural. Must have enthusiasm and warmth. Must be interested in helping non-english speaking patients have a positive and more effective health care experience.
